"Smoky mountain rain keeps on fallin'"

Dad's birthday was today. He turned 55. Elvis also died today back in '78. At least he lived to see the coming of Disco.

Took Dad out for his birthday. Our dinners at Ruby Tuesday ended up costing $40 + a $6 tip. Ouch. His present - we're getting our picture taken together at JC Penney on Thursday. We tried to go tonite, but they were closed already by the time we got there. We haven't had a single picture taken together in at least 5 years, minus the one from our Gatlinburg vacation....but that was like 4 years ago.

Speaking of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, I'm going there this weekend! Mom, her friend Judy, Josh and I are vacationing together. The highlight is a Ronnie Milsap concert on Friday nite!! I'm soooo excited...always wanted to see him. I'm such a dork - considering the fact that my Mom got me turned on to Ronnie Milsap's music. Of all people - Ronnie Milsap. In other concert news, I ordered tickets for Dad & I to see David Cassidy two days before my birthday!

Incidentally, my birthday is coming up September 5. I'm going to have the biggest party in the world, so everybody better come!

Um...what else? Jordan and I didn't feel good last Tuesday, so we didn't goto gay 80s night at Top Cat's like we always do. Going tomorrow nite though! Ate at Fazoli's last nite. The girl working there was a lesbian who is scared of coming out...she talked to us about it. Then we played Scrabble in their parking lot...fun times (I stole that line!).

Dad has me all talking about money and investment stuff tonite. I didn't bother telling him that Mom started a Roth IRA for me like 2 years ago. He probably would've been mad about that or something....that she beat him to the punch. Although he said he's gonna give me some money and help me get started in online stock trading for my birthday. That should be interesting...watching me flush it all down the drain.

And last but not least, I'm poor. Everybody send me money...I'm broke as a joke.
