The new and improved Glackin basement

Well, on Sunday my dad and I decided to go and buy me a new bed, because futons aren't meant to hold my massive frame and the metal support beams were breaking under me. So I'm getting a new bed delivered on Friday (I hope) and in preparation of this great event, I have decided to redo my basement in terms of organization. The TV and computer will be in new places, and I am hoping this will encourage people (when they come over) to sit on the couch instead of graviating towards the beaten up modular couches.

In other news, I do apologize for the lack of updating, but I have decided to not vent online as much. After all, I really don't know who reads this, and I'd hate to have people pissed at me for something I wrote in passing. Though a few people are annoying me right now because I am finding it impossible to hang out with them. Either I am busy or they are, and it is kinda, no scratch that- very, annoying. But I'll deal. I always do. And this should be sufficiently vague as not to piss anyone off.

I have also been reading a lot. In the past 2 weeks, I have read 6 or 7 new novels. I read the entire trilogy by Phillip Pullman that starts with "The Golden Compass" and I have to say that although I found it entertaining, I found the conclusion lacking. It seemed to tie together too neatly and parts of the end were weird. Simply odd. I also read a bunch of other stuff, and my advice to anyone considering reading books byLaurell K. Hamilton-- Both of her book series are highly sexually charged. So much so that past book 10 of her Anita Blake series, there is more sex than plot or characterization. Which bothers me because I started reading them for the plots, and now I find myself skipping entire sections of the novels, simply because I find it annoying.

I do promise that as soon as I finish it, I will post my long anti-MTV rant. Simply because I promised it to y'all.

That is all for a snowy (wtf??) Wednesday in April. (Again, wtf? Snow? in April?)
