I decided to return temporarily to safety orange. Yeah, I'll have to dye it back to "normal" red when I get an interview somewhere, but in the meantime, this is doing me more good than a month of therapy. I forgot how hard it is to feel low with hair this bright...

Yesterday was spent driving through lovely bits of the upper peninsula of MI (apparently the locals refer to themselves as Yoopers). We picnicked at an overlook in the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore, the views from which were simply stunning:

We hadn't planned to stay in Montana for more than a couple days, but my aunts, with amazing powers of eyelash batting and mild emotional blackmail, convinced us not to leave until the 5th so that we could stick around for a big family 4th. Day two of the roadtrip began a bit roughly. It took us a bit to get out of Ellensburg, and when we finally did, we had car trouble almost immediately.
