Hayley came back to MI on her tour and we got to meet her again. She is lovely as always! We got to the bar early...like 3 hours early and I'm glad we did. As Jud and I took a walk, he saw a dark van drive by and he goes "I think that was Hayley" and he was right. She chilled outside in the van for a bit and he kept trying to get me to say Hi then but I didn't want to be rude. So we went back in and he and my sister had drinks and shortly after Hayley began to do her soundcheck. I felt so rude sitting through it but technically we were there first and I did record some of the audio because seriously she is amazing but I refused to record any of her new song "treetops" which is great. Once they were done with much pushing from my husband and sister we approached her and I apologized for kind of crashing but she was so cool with it and gave us hugs. We talked about her music and shows and stuff. Then she left (and apparently went to guitar center from what she posted on Instagram) then returned and rocked the very intimate venue. Her last concert was packed but they must have been there for the others groups (that I never heard of) this time there wasn't a lot of people and had I not been wearing a halter monitor for my heart (which is lovingly teased me about since I had tweeted her I'd be wearing one) and a stress test and echo the next morning I would have stayed longer afterward. She got more hugs and was just so sweet. I literally cannot stress it enough that she is the best person ever and is so fun and deserving of all the good she has coming her way. Literally she's been upped to regular on CSI: Cyber, is in Insidious 3 and Jem and has gotten so many positive reviews on her single "Girls Like Girls".
