She closed her eyes her thoughts drifted to the Summer, and to him. To what had began and ended.

Their walk on the beach was their last pure moment.

Her senses screamed and she felt something rip into her body. She threw up…

But she remembered their date.

Possessed. She was struggling against the force within.

She remembered his declarations of love.

She couldn't break Wanda's hold. She was drowning. Possessed by a dark Witch.

She finally gained the strength and forced her out. She remembered asking for a kiss, but she couldn't stop herself from denying the attraction and spark between them. She was still numb. The possession drained her. She didn't feel like herself and still doesn’t.

She misses him. She wants him. She wants to feel safe again. She wants to feel again...

Norvile Rogers was like any boy his age. He was 17 and believe it or not he did have a libido. Only unlike any other boy his age, he had more control of his id. He mentally thanked Velma because thanks to her, he might actually have a chance at graduating now. He didn't know what he would do without her in his life now. And he felt immensely guilty for using her in his fantasies as he touched himself. Given she said she didn’t feel anything for him, not that way. After they left the country club, he still felt those feelings for her. He knew he did, but this time he would just keep it to himself. There was too much pressure when everyone knew. His best friend just laughed at the mere thought of being with her, and the other warned against the relationship to begin with, to use her. And he couldn’t do that. He loved her too much.

Since Scooby Doo was out bonding with his family, Shaggy took the time to relieve himself. Or he would have, had a knock on the door hadn't broken his focused concentration.

He saw her through the window on the door. She had such a pained look on her face, he ached. He opened the door and she entered, her whole body seemed dejected.

"Whats wrong, V?" he asked, locking the door behind her and followed her to the couch. It collapsed under his weight and it sent her cascading onto his chest.

He figured she would scamper off of his chest. But she didn't, but instead buried her face in his shirt and sighed.

"What?" he asked, though mumbled, he could hear her perfectly.

"I don't feel normal anymore," she told him, he looked confused.

"Are you getting a cold?" he ask, his hand went to her forehead to check for a fever. She let out a harsh laugh and pulled away from his chest. She straightened her glasses and sighed again.

"Since this summer, since Wanda left my body, I...I don't feel like me," she told him and he blinked.

"Velma, it's been a month," He said, he reached out and touched her face. He ran his thumb over her cheek and she shivered. "Your skin is so cold."

"I know," she swallowed thickly; "I don't feel right in my skin, it feels like she took a part of me. Most of a she stole moments from me that I can't get back."

"Like what?"

"My first date. Knowing how you felt and not being able to embrace it, to truly enjoy that time with you. Now that you don't like me anymore, I won't know how to flirt, how respond to love..."

"V...I never stopped liking you! Like, at all! You'll always be my first love," he said and pressed his lips to hers, hoping to prove it. She was surprised and with only a moments hesitation she kissed him back.

It was much better than the first. Her mind wasn't foggy, his body so near, warmed her skin. They broke and opened her eyes and he pulled her to him and held her tight.

"Better?" he asked and she smiled weakly.

"I'm getting there," she assured him, and he stretched out on the couch and pulled her on his chest.

“Like, I’ll be right here when you are,” he told her and pulled the blanket from the back of the couch and covered them. She lay against his chest and his hands wrapped around her waist, anchoring her to him. This, this was what she’d been missing.
