- Released album Bitter Tears in 1964 that focused on difficulties faced by Native Americans; the song "The Ballad Of Ira Hayes" caused controversy
- Married June Carter in late 1960s; wrote "Flesh And Blood" for her
- Rediscovered Christianity after quitting drugs in the late 1960s, early 1970s

This show was pretty good. It's the first time that I played a very, very long song ("Shine On You Crazy Diamond"). Thanks to all of the people who came out and watched me. It's good to have fans.

Also, I'm the Director of Campus Relations for the station now. This is very cool and I think that I'm going to do a great job.
