Updates and Cool Happenings
So, yes, I'm sure many of you have heard, I was laid off last Thursday, suckage, however, in the past 2 days, it has proven to be a boon!
My resume is now in the hands of headhunters and hopefully here soon I will start hearing stuff from them. In the interim, allot of things have already started happening.
I'm going to the Austin Game Developers Conference in September and that alone is really awesome. I've never been to a GDc, but from what I've been told, I can easily find a new gaming gig. There have been a few other possibilities passed my way as well and these would really help allot. Contract work as well as some weekly work. I'll be honest, I'm quite excited about all the things that are happening right now and to be honest, I think this is a step in the right direction for me, not even a slight set back.
In other news I am totally prepared for this weekend's festivities in NW Arkansas and I am uber excited too! This is going to be an utter blast. Ravenwood Festival 2008! w00t w00t

In other news, I've been booked to play HaVoK back in Houston Saturday July 26th. You fvckers should go. Seriously. Not to mention I'll be celebrating my 30th birthday and my return to Texas with Breye7x, Naika Whisperwish and, the whole HaVoK crew and will be dropping a set like none you all have ever heard. I'm bringing the L.A. sound back to Houston and with it, I plan to help the scene in whatever way I can while I'm still in Houston. Houston gave me my start and helped me get to where I am today, it's only right that I repay the favor in kind by helping bring good positive growth. I'm not getting back into Promotions in Houston, but I'll be available to come and Dj any event or show or night that I'm needed or requested at.
Concerning this, I know many of you have known of my issues over the years with Naika, well, no more. I made this decision for many reasons. But 1 of the biggest driving reasons is that Naika has done some really cool things here lately concerning me and people I care for very much for and that earns anyone big cool points in my book. I won't go into details, but suffice it to say, he has shown that even though we've had our problems in the past, we're both different people now. And you can ask anyone, I've always lauded him for his charisma, that boy could charm the doors off a barn if he needed to!
So, go to Ravenwood if you can. Go to HaVoK Saturday July 26th and be prepared to be floored with the set I'm preparing for you and everyone in Houston and the surrounding areas. Get ready to dance like you haven't in years!
