Writers Block Prompt for 15/04/08 "What's keeping you from your dream job?"
And I'd have to say, probably my faith. I was talking to a guy at
KYLC at the start of the year and he said just after he was saved, he got accepted into
NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) and he turned it down. The whole world at his finger tips, yet he didn't consider it worth it. I was so encouraged and challenged. I am still confused at times and I don't think I'll ever stop questioning what a Christian's place is in the arts (I firmly believe that for some Christians, the acting industry is right where God wants them) and how little me can serve God regardless of the place or job I'm in.
On a fairly unrelated note, does anyone have any thoughts on why on earth Bertha committed suicide in Jane Eyre? Was it just another act of insanity, or did she have some conscious underlying motive which led her to it?
