The Rani remembered why she rarely, if ever, stopped by these stupid little ordeals. The nosebleed business was moderately amusing, if only because it was vaguely reminiscent of defence mechanisms common to primitive life-forms across the universe.

She caught the new arrival's eye and started to say something, but decided instead that it was probably better not to waste her time. She turned to go.

Another person for Toki to talk to, but she was already leaving before he could even say hello! "Well that's rudes," he huffed under his breath. "Hey, lady! Bye byeeeeee!"

She almost ignored him, but the possibility that this whole scenario might provide a moment's relief from boredom stopped her. "Were you addressing me?"

"You was lookings at me first," said Toki. This lady looked like she was sucking on a lemon. "Can I helps you?" Maybe she knew Toki! She'd be the first one here.

"I rather doubt it," she said. "You're the newcomer here, after all. I expect the others have talked to you already."

"Then why was you lookings at me? Is rude, you knows? At least says hello when you comes and stares at someone." Toki huffed and crossed his arms in front of his chest, giving the woman his best 'menacing' stare.

"You humans and your social rituals," she sniffed. Really, they were nearly as bad as Gallifreyans in their own way. "Very well: hello."

"Hi. You not human?" Just a leeeeeettle confusing for poor Toki. He started to name all the non-human things he knew. "You a robot? Cyborg? Demon? Troll? Me and the guys summoneds a troll once. It was cool! Letsees. You a succubus? ...theys a good band. Swiss though. Who knew the Swiss could be metal?"

The Doctor ought to meet this one sometime. It would be interesting to see who could spout the most nonsense per minute.

"I am a Time Lady," she said. "My people are guardians of Time," her own renegade status notwithstanding, she did have some pride about the matter, "and are in general superior to your own species."

The information seemed to head in one of the guitarist's ears and then quickly pass out the other. "Metal," he concluded. Whether or not he actually believed her was debatable, but there was slightly impressed look on his 'innocent' face.

"So you not reallys a lady then? Because if you was a human, then you'd be whats apart of our species and called a lady, but you calls yourself a lady anyways."

The Rani pinched the bridge of her nose and held her breath almost long enough for her respiratory bypass system to kick in.
