"...Do you remember Calaseadoor? Never shall you see that sailor any more, he rests in the sea Calaseadoor. But on stormy nights you'll here some body shouting 'hey ho'...." Pippi sang softly as she stood at the wheel of the ship she's seriously considering keeping... Maybe she'd name it The Treasure Oscar in honor of how she Tommy and Annika tricked the previous owners out of it. Tommy and Annika tied off the mooring lines. It certainly did them quite a lot of good to be hanging out with pirates, and it certainly had been an exciting time. But it was good to be back.
"...From the deepest depths it comes and sails like this hey..."
Suddenly, it was no longer evening. She was no longer on a ship. And there was a large mouse with a clipboard. She's standing there, in her usual blue dress with a yellow smock, her mismatched stockings, the big clunky shoes her Papa gave her, and the piratical accessories looted from around the ship. Her bright orange braids stuck out from under a dark tricorn hat, a belt around her waist held an unloaded flintlock pistol and a cutlass.
"...ho?"
"Mickey coughs theatrically. "'What is your name?'"
Pippi, is on the Olympic level in 'taking things in stride'.
"Well my full name is Pippilotta Viktualia Rollgardina Schokominza Efram's Daughter Longstocking... I got some royal titles in there too, but that's just over doing things a bit don't you think? Most people just call me Pippi."
"What is your quest?" asks the Cat. It's perched, suddenly, on the roof of one of the gate-stiles.
Pippi gives that question some thought after a moment of 'Oooo! Kitty!'
"Um...." She bites her bottom lip as she thinks. "To always accomplish what I've thought of."
"'What is the average w..?'" Mickey frowns down at the notebook. "You know, I don't really see why that's important." He flips a page. "'If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?'"
"Wull... gee, I dunno..."
"Eep eep!" chimed in the little sweater wearing monkey on her shoulder. Pippi looked at him and smiled.
"But Mr. Neilson would probably like to never want for raisins, bananas, and sugar cubes... Which he doesn't if I have anything to say about it, so I guess he got his wish!"
"Eep eep!"
"Or," the Cat says, examining its tail with interest, "if you were a genie and someone you were trying to give three wishes to was trying to trick you into giving him more, what would you say?"
"... Is there a rule against giving him more?"
Mickey looks rather nonplused at the next, but reads, "'When the revolution comes, what skills will you be able to barter for food?'"
"Oh I've got lots of skills... I'm a very good cook for one. So whatever food there might be I could probably make it taste pretty nice... I dunno... I could probably work something out."
The Cat rolls its eyes in a friendly (and rather disconcertingly out-of-sync) way, and asks, "Milk, dark, or white chocolate?"
"Dark... But really, I wouldn't turn down any of the three."
"'Choose the two coolest: robots, pirates, fairies, bears, ninjas, monkeys, vampires, or humans,'" says Mickey, giggling a bit as he goes through the list. "'Explain.'"
"Gosh... I don't think there's anything on that list I don't like in one way or another... I'm gonna go with pirates and humans."
"Eep eep!"
"I'm sorry! It's not like you act much like a monkey, mostly, if you ask me... Anyway. Humans and pirates... I know a lot of both... and I'm both. So I guess I'm biased."
"Eep eep."
"... Sometimes I really wish I spoke monkey."
"Great!" Mickey flips through the blank pages of the notebook at top, cartoon-y speed. "Well, I think that's just about it! Oh, and I'm supposed to ask, 'for your safety: are you carrying anything sharp?'"
"I got this cutlass." she said popping a hip to show off the weapon stuck through the belt.
Aside from the aforementioned unloaded flintlock pistol and hat, she's got a few gold coins, a compass, and some random little bibs and bobs rattling around in her pockets and shoes. (They're really quite big those shoes.) Despite the icon, she does not have an iPod.
[[Hello, I am Pippi Longstocking. That is who I am. :) This is Pippi from the US dub of the Swedish TV Show/Films made in the late 60's. There's 4 movies and Pippi in the South Seas is the last one, so she's lifted from the end of that. I'll be using the books to help fill out back story and characterization just a bit.]]
