this afternoon on a bicycle outing i was screamed at with much intensity by a large mixed-gender group of hispanic teenagers with small children. this, among other experiences, has led me to believe that the likelihood of an individual being violated in some manner has not so much to do with whether the individual herself is a) gendered, b) of some form of ethnicity, or c) dressed in whatever fashion... but more to do with the lack of decent education on the part of the violator(s). this may seem obvious, but this little instance made it quite clear that whenever i'm yelled at, leered at, farted at, or anything else... it's probably not because i'm a female in a hypersexed and misogynistic society... it's far simpler than that. when such an incident occurs, i am now left with the wonderment, "something tells me you never went to college..."
