Some days I know that I still have a lot of growing up to do, but yesterday was another giant glaring reminder of that. My mom and I were trying to take care of my first credit card payment over the phone, and I always dread talking to a rep because I never know what details they're going to ask me. So, she asks when my dad was born and I blank on the year. My mom has to remind me on the speakerphone. The rep then asks for when my mom was born and tells her not to prompt me on the date.
...Nice, right? I felt like an idiot, but we did eventually manage to set things up to work over the phone.
Speaking of which, we're also getting new cell phones. They're Samsung Gravity Ts, something my dad let my brother pick. If they're better than my old one, then stupendous. If not, I may pitch a tiny fit. I've been pocket-dialing people like crazy and that got old real fast.
Other than that, I've been trying to get my research done and have been writing a ton. It's been a terrific source of stress relief aside from video games, movies, and TV. The piece itself is okay, but there are times where I look at it and feel like it's 13,000 words of literary garbage. We are our own worst critics, right? XD
