Of Weekends & Holidays
Well I'm obviously feeling much better since my rant last entry. I came to a slight conclusion that in reality it's just my friends are moving on. But I don't feel like dwelling what I wrote in the last entry so let's move on...
On Friday was a particularly good afternoon tho i did have my bouts of moodiness. Hung out with the couple, z, and eventually for a small period of time Rob. Got them to see Sin City which the couple enjoyed. Great movie really, I love the imagry and the dialogue. I'm actually thinking of a CB AUish fic that revolves around using choice dialogue from said movie. Might be a good diversion from my Escaflowne fic epic heh. ^^;; So later on in the afternoon/early evening we went to J-town to see Brothers Grimm.
I highly reccomend that movie. For what the trailers showed it was a lot more "gruesome" than I had expected. Not that it was gory but yeah heh. It was fun to figure out all the fairy tales interwined in the movie and I kind of like the underlying darkness of the chasm between the brothers. As a lover of angst, I think they could have drawn it out just a tad bit more. Both brothers were very quirky and rather hilarious though Matt Damon looked a lil shabby. Heath Ledger's acting in this was quite refreshing and he played his character rather well. Don't think I can remember anything I didn't like about the movie in particular tho it did feel like a few scenes were missing.
And then on saturday Mar had a BBQ at Chrissie Fields. I'd write a lengthy entry about it but not particularly in the mood. Lets say it was fun for the most part and I had waaay too much sun. =D It was good and refreshing to get out of this house and be in the open air and not on my lazy ass heh. Sunday just had to do with me recovering as I felt quite dizzy the whole day.
And today.... well I didn't go to class tho that was very stupid of me since I still need to *add* a class to be fullterm. Ug, I hate myself for putting it off amongst other things related to school.
I've pretty much spent the past coupla days catching up on Harry Potter/Snape Gen fics. =D Most of them have to do Pre-HBP but there are a few that are during and after. Just haven't had a chance to look at them yet. Tho *hopefully* I'll spend the next four hours doing: Hmwk, LJ Iconning, or writing fanfics. Don't think I really need to be doing anything else hrm...
Well that's it, just felt like LJing sadly it wasn't anything insiteful or interesting. Maybe I should do a few fanfic/book reviews on the next one...
