Hello everyone!
I just discovered the existence of cloth pads this very night and am very interested. I have been struggling with the idea of producing so much un-recyclable waste because of my period, as I would like to make my life less wasteful and kinder to the environment. A woman's period is a natural cycle, and I felt uncomfortable with the idea of having to use manufactured products because of it. It just didn't feel right and I felt something was missing. Now I've discovered these and it makes so much sense! Also I get frustrated with disposable pads because even if the size is right, somehow they always end up moving or something and I get a leak anyway.
And now I know that it's possible to make re-usable pads! I'm very excited.
The only thing, even though they are cheaper in the long run, I can't afford the pre-made ones (like Luna Pads) all at one time. So it seems more feasible to make them myself because I can purchase materials as I can afford them.
As I looked around the internet I got a little overwhelmed however. Trying to determine the right sizes, shapes, and materials confuses me.
Does anyone have any advice or a link with good directions?
Thank you!
