I tweaked a few but still love this every time I get it...
If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege. (And remember that Germans pay over 1000 Euro each for their driver's licenses. That's why there are so many bicycles.)
Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years.
Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children. Or the people for whom one weekend gone means another week closer to war and separation from their loved ones.
Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk - or the amputee.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
And my personal favorite: Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them! Or worse still - you could be a democrat!
Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you, you may have touched their life in ways you will never know!

Now something kinda funny that hit me when I thought of that lil democrat statement, is that I never considered myself a political person or in any way affiliated with a political party. I paid attention long enough to make an educated decision on who to vote for, but never really got that into it. Funnier still is that I don't hear a lot from Republicans on the news or whatever, and they haven't convinced me that democrats are bad. Democrats have convinced me to dislike democrats. The democrats have made me a Republican. Every time I hear a new conspiracy theory or them bashing our country in general, it fuels the fire I have inside that sometimes makes me wish there was a way of nuking them without hurting innocent people. And the recent false report Dan Rather plastered all over the news - his team (the people who provide him with info) was FIRED for the report that HE broadcast and he is comfortable staying with whatever network he works for. I think they were all just too quick to believe something untrue because they WANTED to believe it and therefore did not investigate the story or the sources as thoroughly as they would have done had it been a story about Kerry or another democrat. NO, you cannot protest the war and still claim to support our troops. That's like me saying that I can protest abortion while supporting the doctors who perform it. Have you talked to any soldiers who said that Cindy Sheehan and other protestors, or seeing anti-war signs in their neighborhoods have made them feel good about the fact that they're soldiers? Extremist fucktards are one thing, but democrats and war protestors do not make the troops feel supported. Just in case you were wondering. The fucking democrats have now turned my warm fuzzy into a rant. You see how they work?
