Cosplay for houses part 2
I finally finished another part of my Cumber Cave. I'm slowly filling up the place. I got my mom's old recliner, it makes a great replica of Dr. Watson's chair. The wonderful Baker Street sign was given to me by chaechae. Thank you babe! I added a few posters, Sherlock's periotic table, the standard "Keep Calm", and a poster of the solar system, since Sherlock deleted that information from his brilliant brain.
The ultimate in home protection! A harpoon!!! Of course, it needed a bit of fake blood to
make it look perfect.
Now this was a great find *G* I was going through my attic and remembered that I had a yard lamp, still in the box, it has been in my attic for about 10 years. So I had the great idea of turning it into a floor lamp, it took about 20 mins to rewire it. I added a
flicker bulb and now I have my very own London gas lamp. *squees* It looks amazing!
Thanks everyone for all the Pandas! I started sending them out to people, and then my LJ kept saying I wasn't allowed to send to anyone's name I put in. They must have had a limit *pouts* and I had a whole list of people, I wanted to send them too.
Other than playing around in my girl cave, I've been up to my eyeballs with helping my youngest with homework every night. Private school is very different from public, and she's getting about 4 hours of homework a night. It's been very stressfull for both of us. Her grades have improved, but they've been earned with lots of tears and misery on her part. Of course when she's upset, I'm upset. I keep telling myself that her education is worth it, but some days, I just want to say fuck it, and put her back in public school. Needless to say, when I'm stressed, I get very antisocial and bitchy, so I tend to stay away from LJ to save everyone from my whining. Hope everyone has been well.
