The beauty of Georgia

Jan 31, 2006 21:15

I wanted to post yesterday, but was dead tired after work. So, I had enough energy to make dinner and then it was off to bed. Sunday, Lisa, Girl Shannon, and I took a hike in north Georgia that involved a bit more rick climbing than I had expected. That may have added to my tiredness yesterday. I will be 40 this year (!?!?! Where did the time go? To pot, I expect... luckily, I seem to be gaining some of that time back...) and am glad I can still handle this kind of activity. I took some photos, which I hope to post in the near future. There is some incredible country down here, which I would be more than glad to show to any of you who come to visit. Just be sure to bring your hiking boots!
The three of us, plus others at times and minus the Girl at times, have been taking hikes most weekends for the past couple of months. Hopefully, in the next month or so, we will plan a hike to surpass our record (done 2 years ago with roughly 20 miles through Puerto Rican rain forest!). If anyone is interested, we can inform you of when we will be taking a weekend hiking/camping trip. If not, pictures will be posted. The weather down here has been everything we had hoped. It does get below freezing in the early mornings, but usually warms up to the low fifties (or better!) by noon.
Oh, yeah, I have a new gig. I will write more about it tomorrow. Until then, good night!
