Yesterday I went to go see Ben Folds with Diana and Jessica! Seeing him live has been on my to-do list for about 6-ish years. The show was great. We had a fairly decent spot, we were right next to the barricade so I was right next to the speaker. The view was still good except for the gross security guard that occasionally got in the way. The setlist was almost perfect. 25 songs so I can't complain...but I will complain about him not playing Not the Same. :( Afterwards we were walking back to my car when this kind stranger told us that Ben was meeting fans right around the corner. I had no intentions of being able to meet him so it was really exciting. We got our posters signed and took pictures with him. He seemed like a pretty nice guy from the minute or two we got to talk to him (the security guards were kind of ushering everyone along in a line). I took my mom's mediocre point and shoot camera so I took some crappy pictures, along with two crappy videos. I got one decent video on my Flip camera of him playing Wipeout.

Wipeout. This is the only decent quality video I took.

Fired. I had to put the camera down a couple of times because we weren't supposed to be taking video. Crowd fails at singing at 0:36. I laughed at them

Someone shouted something, and Ben said that it sounded like "bitch you stole my clock" or something like that. So he made up a song about clock-stealing
Jessica and I tried to get a picture together but all of them were failures, for various reasons
The opening act, Kate Miller-Heidke
Now here comes the long string of Ben Folds pictures that all look exactly the same. I know, I know
Ben did a drum solo at the end of Steven's Last Night in Town. Here's the crew putting together the drum kit. Watch the video of Wipeout, they did it there too. It was pretty funny
Kate joining Ben for You Don't Know Me
Jessica and Ben!
Ben and I!
Jessica took another because Ben was kind of bobbing his head in the first picture and she said it was blurry.
The guy immediately to the right of Diana's head had a really bad toupee.
Tour shirt!
Pretty poster!
We went shopping, and I think I did pretty well on not spending too much.
Found this cute cupcake bank at Toyjoy. Worth $12? I don't know, but it's pretty and I didn't have a piggy bank
Kinda splurged on these lip butters from The Body Shop. I think they were worth it. Smells and tastes like candy.
