Who knew that shopping for a car would be such a gorram pain in the arse?!? I thought it would be fairly simple, pick a car, go to the dealer, go home with said car. Well picking a car is difficult, I believe I've narrowed it down to three choices now (
VW Jetta,
VW Rabbit or a
Scion xA [since I can't afford a
Toyota Camry, maybe a
Toyota Corolla]). Now comes the fun part. Do I buy new, buy used or do I lease? How the heck should I know, I've only ever owned two cars and only made one payment when I left the lot with my Sunfire. So I asked some people what they thought. Some were very much against buying new, some very much against leasing. Then there's buying used, how can I be certain the car isn't a pos that's going to cost me thousands in repairs in just a few years.
Then there's the issue of needing to find a new apartment or better yet a house to rent. With each passing day, the thought of staying here makes me want to scream or something.
Paul was supposed to be home this weekend, but wound up having to drive back to Chicago yesterday morning. Damn me for not hearing my phone ring Thursday night when he tried to get a hold of me. *sigh* Bugger it all!
I was supposed to go golfing this morning. Looking out the window, I'd say that's not going to happen. I'm fairly confident that Braemar may even close for the day if this keeps up. I swear, I need to quit making plans to golf, when I do it rains. I guess Linds, Nate and I will just wind up grabbing lunch and heading to the VW and Toyota dealerships and see if the rain lets up later.
