Oh, hello, Livejournal. I almost forgot all about you. There hasn't been anything in particular I've really felt like talking about, my mind is kind of blocked. Or, actually I just don't have the energy to bitch and complain as of late. But, here are some crafty things I've been working on to keep my worrisome mind occupied:
Last month I constructed my own pinhole camera, since I'm too poor to purchase a Nikon D90 right now. I'd say that second layer of electrical tape really did the trick:
Then, a friend of mine let me use a dark room rental so I could test it out. I was pretty excited when it actually worked really well! Here is a photo of the test shots, sorry the subject matter is so boring, I was just in a hurry to make sure it worked okay, and was also unable to turn them into positives, so these are just the negatives:
Last, but not least, I've recently taken up cross stitching. I spent like $70 on cross stitching supplies to get started. I think JoAnn's is my new Target. Right now I'm just working on a picture of a seahorse, just to practice and get myself familiar. It's not difficult, just EXTREMELY tedious. After I finish this first project, I'm going to download some software so I can make my own cross stitching patterns and get started on some awesome ideas I have. The downside to cross stitching is it takes a while before it even starts to look like anything, so it could be days before you figure out you've messed up on something. Haha. Here is a preview of what's in the works:
I'll share again once I'm finished. Good night, LJ!
