Theme nights... Space, Under the Sea, and Vikings (whom ever came up with that theme should have been smacked). So amazing. Taking breaks in the fridge were brilliant!!

The kids at camp can be so awesome, and they can also drive ya crazy... let's take Matty for instance. Lilly-dipper, pest, leech, whiner... all my 'favourite' attributes in one. Hopefully someday soon he snaps out of it before someone smacks him into last Tuesday. My OSL campers were amazing... just to reidirate how much fun they were... talking like Ignacio... "I ate some bugs, I ate so grass, I used my hand to wipe my teeeears!!!"
This year was particularly interesting. Loads of behind the scenes stuff that I didnt realize actually happened at camp... I was under the impression that those types of things were myths, and made up for movies (*ahem* the naughty camp lifeguards in the Jason movies). I dont know what it is about doing that kind of stuff... it was exciting... being involved in nightly camp activities, covered by a pseudo-safety blanket of darkness. We knew Marilyn could be right around the bend; that maybe she could hear us... and worse... bust us.
Being a camp councilor has had a profound effect on my life. The people you work with at camp are your family for 6 weeks... and you learn to love em', and hate em'... but they stay with ya. Even though my camp was cut short this summer, it was still the best camp experience of my life...
My advice to current and future camp councilors is this: If you are involved in sketchy camp behaviour, don't get caught... imagine your boss is on their way to bust you... always have a story and be prepared to deal with the consequences if you do get busted.
It's November 1st.
A month ago I went to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert for Stadium Arcadium with Eric S... a dear camp friend. This past weekend I went to a Halloween party at Eric's house near Ottawa U... Quiiiiiiiite the adventure while trying to get home in one piece... Sheridan can be a little spazzy and indecisive when she is under pressure, and tipsy.
The concert would not have been as good if I had gone with anyone else. Eric and I had a blast... it was amazing!!!!!! The set was incredible... they opened with Can't Stop!! AAAAH!!!!
It's November 14th.
Strangest weekend of my life! Check this... I make plans for a movie night on friday(nov. 10th), to see 'Marie Antoinette' at Rainbow (Some of my other buddies try to get me to go to Shaughnessy's instead, but I cant just ditch... I dont roll that way). There are five of us who end up going; Caitlin, Stacy, YHN, Ainsley, and Kristen. We get downtown around 10-2-9, and I see a most familiar name emblazonned on the side of a white van... "Little Ray's Reptile Zoo"!!!!! OMG!! They be from the O-dot! AAAH! ... and, holy crap, they have a display set up in the rainbow centre and are open til' 9pm... yes! I wanna hold their Burmese Python again... sooo me and the ladies go check it out. The first thing I say... a set up... "Is can I see your python?"... yeah. Smooooth. So the guy (who's name is Paul Fox) replies "These pythons?" and flexes his guns... oy. And so began the flirtage that would almost convince me to drop my movie plans and go to Shaughnessy's with these crazy zoo keepers. It was fun!! But we had a movie to see... and 2 underagers in our possee... so we get their phone number and say we'll go out with them tomorrow... which we did!! But before that happened, there was a pseudo-grocery trip… which began with another visit to the Reptile guys… I held a skunk! It was so cute, and just wanted to cuddle… and scratch me up a bit.
Met the guys at Peddler’s, headed down to Shaughnessy’s… I sooo wanted to go to the pub, but didn’t end up there… unfortunately…
Anyways, we ended up back in rez with 2 guys with not-much-game and Paul “Foxy” Fox… who’s got enough sensuality and game for a couple o’ guys. He had a ton of tequila and shots, and we got him a cab and sent the 3 zoo keepers home.
It was an interesting weekend alright. But it was fun, and many of my drinks were payed for by others, which was double awesome. I’m gonna apply to Little Ray’s, see what I can get as a job for the summer… apparently they need lifeguards, camp councilors, and people who are socially keen; they need me.
I’ve joined Masters Swim Club and have been doing it 3 times a week in the early AM. It’s so amazing to just get up and go… I don’t think so when I’m just waking up, but I love it so much! Swimming is amazing… and the in between days I go to the gym and go for “runs” haha!! Now that makes me feel good.
I hafta go… see ya!
