So, weve been on the road now for 3hours and 58 minutes... thats like watching Gone with the Wind in its entirety. Thus far Ive watched 2 films(Whats Eating Gilbert Grape and Sleeping Beauty) and am now debating whether or not to do some math studying (monday is math D-Day), catch some ZZZ's, or listen to some sweet sweet tracks. Weve past all kinds of crazay places like Deep River, Mattawa, Samuel Chaplain ecology dealio... seen a few abandoned home, a couple half finished barns, and towns that consist of a main drag and a Tim Hortons. Its crazay what lies outside of Ottawa. Gilbert Grape was stuck in a deadbeat town, and it got me thinking about the people that live in the small-ish, somewhat decrepid towns that lie outside the big city. Faj says some people are just stuck out in the middle of nowhere because perhaps once upon a time they moved there for work, grew up, married and had children, retired and had no inclination or the means to move somewhere hip and happenin'.
Contess has taken zee Ollie dog for the weekend... Im so lucky to have a friend like her. Cathy and Majjah hit it off pretty well except for the fact that the cats have made Maj's eyes puff slightly. I didnt know Cathy spoke french! The sky is clearing up finally!! Weve spotted a large cumulus ahead... and we just passed a Nippissing University sign. I wish there was more to do in the car... play a round of pop-o-matic trouble with myself... perhaps turn on some beats...
I hope Mr. G took a look at my lab and went 'ooOOooooOOoooo'. I dont want to go back to school monday and find it torn to shreds and covered in red ink. It took forever! I was up late last night(more like this morning)... Dionne Quints museum... across from a Chrysler dealership and a Country Time restaurant. Maj claims it was moved to this new location because it was formerly in the middle of nowhere. Uh, 'scuzie? This is the middle of nowhere. Its f-ing North Bay!!
Annnnnyways...
ciao xoxo,
