Miria blinked for a moment before sitting down on the pavement. It looked like Fate wouldn't need her help for the moment. "Tell me when you need my help for anything."
As Bardiche scanned the building it would find a handful of traps scattered through out the building as well as a few automated defense systems. The traps consisted of a couple of hidden pressure sensitive explosives hidden in the floor, a crushing block hidden in the ceiling that would comedown anyone standing under it, and a couple shallow pits of spikes. The automated defenses consisted of a few unmanned turrets, and a small fleet of relatively weak security bots. There were plenty of signs that security installations had been removed as well.
Miria dusted herself off as she stood up and transferred the data from her D-Comm to her internal mapping system. "Yep, lets get to work!" With that Miria charged forward into the building with her plasma cutter drawn. "I'll start disarming the first one!"
Miria nodded as she headed for the first embedded explosive. The smell of molten metal and concrete quickly filled the air as she stabbed the blade of energy into the floor and started cutting around the device carefully. Once she was finished, she pulled out the D-reader out and stored the device away instead of trying to remove it physically.
The HSAT then moved on to the pit trap that was at the entrance to corridor. With no real method to mark the trap in such a way to ensure no one would ever accidentally fall into it, she was going to have to trigger it instead and destroy the spikes. However, triggering the trap might also trigger something else.
"Captain Fate, I'm about to trigger the pit trap now. It might set off the security, so be ready."
Miria nodded and slammed her fist into the trap door which immediately gave way. Almost immediately, three panels slid open on the walls and unleashed a wave of security drones into the room. The robots in question were held aloft by some kind of anti-gravity system, armed with lazer cannons, and were less then a meter across.
They quickly split-up between the two tamers, and opened fire upon them. Miria quickly unraveled her plasma minigun and returned fire while dodging the blasts aimed at her.
Two of the five drones attacking drones immediately burst into flames and crash into the ground. They were apparently not very good at dodging. The remaining three spread out and fired at Fate from multiple directions.
Miria on the other hand, had not bothered to evolve Randar yet. If what Fate's area search spell had pulled up was true, the robot were not too much of a threat. She had already gunned two of them down, while Randar had it a third with a gear stinger.
Luckily, Fate more than had all directions covered, thanks in part to the fact that Bardiche cut in a wide arc, and the fact that Raidramon's Blue Thunder attacked multiple points.
Fate's second swing took out the last remaining drones, just about the same time Miria finished of the last of her own personal swarm.
Miria chuckled a little as she withdrew her Minigun."Well that felt rather pointless, but at least we cleared out the security drones. Are you okay, Fate?"
"...Other then the automated turret on the other side of the facility, but we won't be getting to that for a while," Miria commented while rubbing the back of her head. "According to your scan, the remains of the main lab is up ahead."
Those words heralded Fate's arrival as she dropped out of the air, wearing her barrier jacket and holding Bardiche in weapon form.
"Sorry to keep you waiting."

Her device flashed brightly. "AREA SEARCH," the weapon said, simply, before beginning to scan the building for traps.

Bardiche transferred the scan data to Fate's D-Comm, which displayed the trap locations on her map. Fate immediately sent them to Miria's as well.
"It's a pretty elaborate set up... but if we're careful, we should be able to bypass all of them..."
