Night would not come, but something even darker would. In her living room the sound of a low hum could be heard suddenly, followed by footsteps and the apartment fell quiet again. The silence didn't last long as the footsteps started again, moving through her apartment towards her bedroom. The door opened and a familiar short figure walked in. He looked around, his seemingly glowing eyes falling on that bundle of comforter and UTAU in the corner. His look instantly become worried, though most of it was hidden in the darkness.
"Tei-chan?" The echidna moved over to her and activated one of his Warp Rings, holding it in his hand so the golden light would illuminate the corner of the room. His face could be seen and he looked down at her, his eyes showing concern.
Tei jumped a little in surprise at the sudden voice, but she didn't shy away from him, instead pulling the blanket back so that it formed a hood around her head with messy bits of silver sticking out from under it. Her hand still held the class pin tightly, but she kept her fingers around it, hiding it from view.
Finitevus raised a brow moved a bit closer to her, examining her face as well as what else he could see.
"You do not seem fine to me, my dear. What is wrong?" His voice wasn't harsh or stern as it normally was. He spoke in a soft voice with a worried tone. He was worried for his UTAU. If she wasn't happy then she was not in top form.
She had stopped crying recently (though it had been an on and off thing all day) but the remnants of tears still showed on her face. She curled a little tighter, running a thumb over the class pin.
"... felt weird last week. I-it's gone now," she answered, determined to not give him the whole story.
Finitevus's eyes moved to her hand as he saw movement and looked back to her.
"Weird how, my dear? You know you can tell me anything, right? I would never get angry at a perfect creature like you." He smiled at her, trying his best to convince her to open up. Ever since their last meeting she had been quieter around him. Normally she loved to talk to him. It was only recently she had been quiet. Something was wrong and he wanted to know what it was.
Tei stared at him silently, her thumb stopping, pressing the pin rather hard in to her hand. She wasn't perfect. He thought she was perfect, but her recently clarity had made so things painfully obvious for her. She had hurt people. She had killed people. And it was only now that she was feeling any remorse for her actions.
She couldn't be with Nokoru if she was a killer.
She cared about him, but some part of her still cared about Finitevus, too. He was the one who took her in when the rest of the world would have imprisoned her again and left her to decay alone. She didn't want to disappoint him, but she couldn't be who he wanted her to be anymore.
Lying to him wasn't getting any easier, but she was going to try.
"I do not mean to assume, my dear. But feeling funny would not make you cry. The evidence of that is clear on your face. I am worried for you, Tei-chan. I cannot help you if you do not talk to me."
His voice began a bit more firm but there was no anger or malice in his voice. Simply firm concern.
"Now please tell me what is wrong. If you are worried, I promise to not get mad. I simply wish you to be happy."
She was quiet again, but in that silence her tears began again, slow at first but increasing in number as she started to hiccup and sob. She couldn't even answer him, voice temporarily lost to the pained noise that escaped her. The pin fell from her hand to the floor as she covered her face, unable to stop the tears that were falling.
Finitevus did notice the pin but he paid it little mind. He set the Warp Ring down and wrapped his arms around Tei-chan, pulling her into a strong hug. He let her cry, rubbing the back of her head through the comforter and said nothing. She would speak when she was ready.
He was comforting her, just like Nokoru had. But he said she was perfect, and Nokoru had said she was going to be repaired. She was starting to wonder which one to believe - the one who had cared for her since her arrival, or the one who said he couldn't lose her, even for a second.
"I-I don't know what to do..." she moaned, digging her hands in to her hair.
"A-am... I really perfect... ?" she asked uncertainly, hands tensing a little. She didn't keep pulling, but she wanted to. The urge to hurt herself again was just getting bigger and she was finding it difficult to ignore.
"Tei-chan?" The echidna moved over to her and activated one of his Warp Rings, holding it in his hand so the golden light would illuminate the corner of the room. His face could be seen and he looked down at her, his eyes showing concern.
"My dear, are you alright?"

"Talk to me about it. Tell me what is bothering you. Perhaps it will help you clear your mind. And I can offer you advice. Please tell me, my dear."

"You are indiscriminate. You see all equally and that is purity to me. That is perfection."
