Who: Doumeki, Kazuma, partners, ???
What: Apparently no place is safe.

Where: Neon City, Residential District
New Year, new home, and apparently an entirely new life, one that wasn't nearly as difficult to adjust to as everything else had been. With school started up in Neon City, Kazuma and Nadeko were enrolled and attending properly, which was a little weird considering they were in a school that was populated entirely by kids from other worlds who all had their own Digimon partners with them, and it followed a more American standard than Japanese. But it wasn't a bad school, and Kazuma really liked the fact that they weren't forced in to uniforms just to attend.
He did want to see about joining some sort of after school activity, and there had been mention of a smallish martial arts club within the student body, so when Monday rolled around he had Nadeko walk home ahead without him while he went to check it out. Apparently she had relayed this information to Doumeki, who texted him about five minutes before he was going to leave and told him to wait, since his own path home went right by the school.
Kazuma agreed, and he waited for Doumeki to come pick him up, the two walking home quietly. Well, as quiet as they could be considering Moro and Lopmon seemed to be starting up an argument behind them.
"Have a good day?"
"Yeah, alright I guess."
"How was the club?"
"It looks alright. Kinda small. I haven't said yes or no yet."
"Why the hesitation?"
"I'unno... I've never actually practiced with anyone except Master before."
"Best time to start, sounds like."
Kazuma shrugged, lapsing in to thoughtful silence again.
"--just being a dumbdumb!" Moro suddenly blurted out loudly.
"I'M NOT DUMB!" Lopmon yelled back, just as loud. Doumeki sighed and rolled his eyes, but didn't do anything to silence them.
"ARE TOO!"
"'least I don't look like a fat rat!"
"MEANIE!"
Lopmon took off past the Tamers with a yelp when Moro leaped at her, trying to bite one of her ears. The rabbit digimon went as fast as she could down the sidewalk, Moro chasing her while yelling her annoyances at her.
"Guys, get back here!" Kazuma yelled out, exasperated at their behavior. "I'm sorry, Doumeki-san..." he added in, running off after them, his laptop bag bouncing on his shoulder. Doumeki just raised an eyebrow, watching them closely, though he picked up his walking pace a little when they got far enough ahead to round a corner and get out of his line of sight.
"Lopmon! Moro-chan! Come on!" Kazuma continued to call out after them, Moro not paying any attention to what Kazuma was saying. At least until Lopmon went darting past an open gate in to some one's yard. Moro stopped short, Kazuma behind him, but Lopmon kept right on going, laughing and calling them both 'chicken'.
"Lopmon, stop!" Moro tried calling after her, but she ignored them, bouncing around the yard as though she owned it.
"What're you gonna do from way over there, huh huh? Nothin' scary in here!"
"Lopmon, get out of there! You're trespassing!" Kazuma tried.
Apparently she didn't care.
