What: A realization leads to a final show down.
When: Backdate - September 18th
Where: All over Neon
Haku was in a panic, and understandably so. She had just realized that Toby wasn't in his room, and with a sickening feeling she realized he may have been gone for days and she hadn't known it. She was frantically explaining to Greg what was going on in the hallway (both of them completely unaware that just a few doors down, Ritsu was eavesdropping from his apartment doorway) but was talking so fast he couldn't even begin to understand her.
"Whoa, whoa, Haku, slow down! Start at the beginning."
"L-Lance-nii left me in charge of Toby-chan b-but I was so busy a-and he's gone, nii-chan! He's not in his room he's not in the hotel he's GONE!"
"Are you positive?"
"YES! Greg, you have to help me! I can't just let him wander around on his own, even if he wants to!"
Greg winced on her raising voice, placing his hands on her shoulders firmly.
"I'll go look for him with Goma, but you are staying here."
"B-but..."
"Haku, you're way too upset to be thinking clearly, and the last thing we need is you getting hurt after everything that's happened. I'll take the Denali and Goma and I'll keep in touch with you. Promise."
Haku fidgeted, tugging on her shirt with tears in her eyes. But she nodded in agreement, hugging her brother and slipping back in to her apartment to wait nervously.
Greg let out a wary huff - Just another day in paradise, eh Greggo? - and turned to leave, only to nearly trip and fall over Ritsu. He let out a yelp, stumbling backwards in momentary shock at the sudden appearance of the trap. For once he wasn't decked to the nines in frills, instead in a plain teeshirt and jeans. And his look was shockingly determined and angered.
"I'm going with you."
"Ritsu--"
"I'm going with you."
Greg stared down at him, but was met with no faltering on Ritsu's part. Another sigh.
"Come on. We've got a lot of ground to cover..."
