The battle had started. With Black WarGreymon busy driving away those foolish enough to get near him, it gave the other Tamers inside time to make their way outside.

"Alright, everyone. This is it. It's all boiled down to this." Cruger said, the S.P.D. Commander flanked by a few others as he walked outside. "Fight to the best of your ability and don't let these beasts get near this place!"

To his right was Sasami, brandishing the Heart of Jurai. She knew Hitomi and Terra were still around and ready. All she had to do was give the word. By her own side was Karin, looking a bit scared, though steeling her face to face the challenges ahead.

"Right. Ready to suit up?" Sasami said, turning her head to face one of the others.

Jason looked back to Sasami and nodded. This was going to be bigger than anything he's face before. And as a Ranger, he was ready.

"Let's do this." he said, looking at some of the army advancing. "Rangers. Shinkengers. New Guardians. Digimon. Everyone."

His hand flew back and went for his morpher.

"IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!" "S.P.D. EMERGENCY!" "GUARDIANS UNITE!"

A massive burst of light erupted from the three as they were replaced by their transformed states, their Digimon evolving and joining their Tamers in their charge.

Hitomi stared down towards the Ravemon's forces around them, now in her guardian form.

Silphymon was by her side, and soon enough they were charging towards the enemy, ready to defend their home and end this tyranny for good.

Takeru strode out, flanked on either side by his fellow Shinkengers and their partners. The city was already erupting into chaos, and the time for waiting was far and away over.

"This has gone far enough," he said, and flipped out his Shoudophone.

"IPPITSU SOUJOU!"

As Takeru drew the symbol for fire before him, Coronamon erupted into light. As the symbol and fire washed over Takeru, forming his uniform, his partner emerged from the light, evolved.

Ryuunosuke took Takeru's left, standing there in defiance of the ones who nearly captured him just over a week before. In his hand was the shudophone, gripped tightly.

He drew the symbol for water before him, V-Mon erupting into light. As the water symbol placed and formed the uniform over Ryuunosuke's body, the light dissolved to reveal his evolved form.

Mako stood on the other side, drawing the symbol for Heaven and transforming into her Shinkenger form.

Shinken Red traced his finger along the edge of blade.

"Authorized under providence! SAMURAI SENTAI!"

They slashed forward with their blades before taking their stances.

"SHINKENGER!"

Takeru pointed his sword ahead. "Going forth!"

As soon as she got outside, Terra turned to Gotsumon, and then to everyone else. "Okay. No looking back now."

She clenched her fists and felt Sasami's power wash over her. "EARTH!"

And as she transformed, Gotsumon evolved to Gigasmon. As Terra took to the skies, Gigasmon started forward on the ground.

A loud scream heralded the arrival of Tetha's forces.

The source was the multitude of bird digimon descending from the clouds. This consisted of mostly Birdramon, Airdramon, Pteranomon, and Aquilamon, but there were several Perfects, including two Garudamon, a lone Velgmon, and a duo of Butenmon. On the ground, the Peckmon police scattered, leaving these special forces to their task.

And at the center of the flock... was Silphymon, the same digimon that had led the attack months before.

"Where is your protector, Tamers?" called out the bird man digimon. "The one called BlackWarGreymon. Has he abandoned you?!"

He sneered.

"Even if he hasn't... I'm prepared to fight to the very last bird!"

He screamed, and thrust out his arm, sending his newly christened "Stravinsky Battalion" forward. Dozens of Birdramon descended, screaming, sending down a wave of searing hot, fiery meteors.

"GAIA FOOOORCE!" a voice shouted out. From seemingly out of nowhere, massive ball of energy launched out, intercepting most of those shots. From the rooftops, Black WarGreymon stood, staring down the Silphymon.

"I am here. You want me? You want this home? You'll get it over my own cold body!" the creature shouted, taking off and racing towards the beast.

"Everyone stay on your toes! It's just like what happened a few months ago!" Cruger said. "Only this time, we fight for keeps!"

"You heard the boss - no defensive here, strike them down hard and fast!" Dobermon said, racing up to his partner.

"Jason! Let's bring them together!" Cruger shouted.

"You got it!" Jason replied, giving the other Ranger a thumbs up. At that, both of their D-Comms started glowing, their respective partners following suit.

"DOBERMON!"

"GINRYUUMON!"

"JOGRESS!"

As the two Digimon combined, it took up a familiar form: the Police-stylized Greymon known as...

"DEKA-RIZE GREYMON!" it shouted. Aiming its Trident Revolver at the Digimon, it spoke again. "Silphymon, you're charged with the willful attempted murder of both Tamer and Digimon amongst this place and elsewhere in Tetha. Surrender or we'll have to bring you down. This time for good!"

"Girls, take to the skies!" Sasami called out to Hitomi and Terra, her wings flapping as she took to the skies herself. "It's time to show them what we're really made of!"

"Good luck!" Tenshi shouted, already as Grademon as the Guardian fired off bolts of Quintessence at the Birdramon

Takeru pointed his Shinkenmaru out, glancing at Mako and Ryuunosuke to either side. "Focus on taking out the Velgmon, first. After the last time, we know what its Zone Deleter can do," he said. "We should also be able to gain good position in the meantime."

"A sound strategy, Takeru," said Mako, as she leaped onto Archelomon's shell. Mako used her Tenkuu no Mai technique to blow a passage through the hail of meteors for them to go through.

Then, her partner opened his mouth, and let loose a cry of "WIND CUTTER!" before sending a number of Vacuum Blades in the direction of Velgmon.
