This wasn't exactly the ceremony Rumiko had imagined as a little girl. Back then, she had imagined a big, western-style wedding. And as she'd gotten older, when her dreams had turned to modeling, she had dreamed of a spectacle, and marrying someone famous.
And then there had been her actual wedding. She didn't hold any last contempt for her ex-husband, but that had hardly been the wedding of her dreams.
But at the same time, even in these thieves' caverns, away from the place that had been her home for two years, Rumiko couldn't imagine any place she'd rather be.
She was standing in one of the many caverns of their benefactor, with her and Satsuma's friends gathered. Or rather, these people were more like family to her now. This wasn't going to be as elaborate as what Rumiko had hoped for, or even Masaru and Yoshino's wedding... this was the first time Scorpiomon had ever been called on to officiate things, and he wasn't exactly keen on most customs, even those of the digital world.
But Rumiko wouldn't change anything about today. Because after all that had been taken from them, she knew that this was where she needed to be. And that was more than enough to fulfill her wildest dreams.
