Who: Reno, Aerith
What: Get by with a little help from my friends
When: September 14th, Evening
Where: Axyori, on the beach (I swear it's his roof)

Reno's toes curled in the sand as he crouched in the wake of the ocean, the salty water soaking the hem of his pants. Several cigarette filters lay at his feet and another half burned cigarette hung out of his mouth as he smoked without even removing the small roll of chemicals from his mouth. Why had the fact that Cloud had left stirred such a reaction? Yes, he'd liked the man, he'd liked him for a long while and he was finally able to come to terms with it.

The problem was he wasn't supposed to.

He was a Turk. Any form of romance was practically forbidden in his line of work and sex was purely carnal pleasure to ease human nature. So why? Why now especially, after so many years, so many murders, after so much guilt that noone could ever possibly want him, least of all Strife? And even then why Strife at all? And why was he so torn up about his dissapearance? Things would be better for Cloud back home. There was an actual cure waiting for him back home instead of his and House's attempt at a treatment that they weren't even sure would work. He had a family back home, an actual family, not this gangbang of misfits. He was better off home. By all logical means he should have felt glad that Cloud was back where he belonged.

But he wasn't. Logic had never been one of his strong points but he did swear by it when confronted with situations and emotions he didn't understand, that was simply what a Turk did. So how could all of his training be thrown out the window? He'd had to get out, couldn't let Mika see him like this, see him so weak.

But, in his haste to get out he'd forgotten to turn off his tracker.

Fucking idiot.
