Who: Husky, ???
What: Husky is wandering around alone. Or is he?
When: September 14th, early evening.
Where: Junk City

Husky wasn't 'weak.' Sure, he wasn't the strongest, but back home, he'd never been so...defenseless. If he went against some hardened warrior, he'd lose, but he wouldn't just go down without getting a hit or two in himself. His aunt trained him well enough to not BE that helpless. He might not win, but he could fight well enough to at least be able to get away or for anyone nearby to come help.

Axel would have beat him. Simple as that. Even with the digi-soul, it was too unreliable and he would have hurt himself more than likely. He'd been trying to master that power since then, but it'd been slow going. He just...didn't know what he was supposed to do exactly. It was connected to his emotions supposedly, but..

Well, Husky was used to burying his emotions. To be in control of them. Sure, he had a horrible temper, but aside from that, he was usually pretty cool and calm. And anger might not have been the best. He'd heard horror stories about what negative emotions could do.

But it wasn't like they went for the big bads. They were just kids wanting o survive, not fight. He didn't think it was THAT imperative to get stronger. Axel....he partly picked that fight.

Then...LOT. They'd just been camping. In a relatively safe area. Near the lightposts so they could run. He'd fought as hard as he could, doing everything he could to get LOT away, to delay her so they could run. But it wasn't a fight. It wasn't a match.

It was practically a massacre. Heck, if LOT had wanted it to be one, it would have been.

Gomamon and Falcomon both went down. And Cooro...he didn't want to see that again. He didn't want to see Cooro cry like that. He didn't want to see Cooro's wings so...mangled. To see Cooro actually be grounded.

It was a lucky thing that a healer came. That she could fix them right up. He didn't want to imagine what it would have been like to wait for Cooro to heal naturally. Husky shivered. He didn't want to see that. He didn't want to see Cooro hurt or suffering again. He just..

He had to get stronger. He had to be able to fight those who weren't normal humans in a whole different way than he wasn't. He wouldn't become a target. He wouldn't let him and Cooro become targets.

Husky was determined to find a way to do that. Normal training wasn't gonna cut it. He just...had to figure out what it was he DID need to do to do that.

He was so focused on these thoughts he hadn't notice he'd wandered deep into Junk City. In fact, he never did notice until he felt water hit his head. He looked up in surprise as it started to rain.
