Who: Miria, Taichi, Fanbeemon, Zeromaru What: Fanbeemon just couldn't keep is damn mouth shut. When: 6/2/09 (backdate) Takes place after this thread. Where: Royal base, training room five.
"We're on the same unit," Taichi argued, "he'll see us in action."
Zero contemplated it. Who knew, maybe they might save that Fan Beemon's sorry ass some day, that'd be an even better way of making him eat his words.
But in the meantime, they'd still have to work together. Zero would still have to endure that pompous bee.
"No. We're settling this now."
Rolling his eyes, Taichi scrolled through his D-Comm to find the Fan Beemon data they'd collected scanning various Fan Beemon around base. They'd looked over it before in their study sessions on the digital world, but not recently. They looked at the screen together, Taichi indicating the wings on the tiny Fan Beemon picture and Zero mumbling, "Stinger."
"Do you want to evolve?" Taichi asked conversationally as they strolled into the training room.
"I don't think it's worth it," Zero replied. "Keep the scans handy, though."
Taichi barely nodded before he caught sight of who he assumed were Fan Beemon and Miria. "Hey!"
If Taichi guessed that Miria was the six-foot-tall android wearing knee-high high-heeled metal boots, with a pack on her back almost as large as herself... Then yeah that would be Miria.
"Oh, hel -- W-W-W-What are you... ?!" Miria stammered as she realized who was in the room with them. It slowly dawned on her what Fanbeemon was really here for.
While Miria was busy flailing, Fanbeemon was preparing to make the first strike. "En garde," was the only warning Fanbeemon was going to give before he stared spraying the gear stinger at Zero. He also showed no care about whether or not he accidentally hit Taichi, as some of the gear stinger shots would have the potential to come dangerously close to hitting him.
Taichi and Zero caught each other's gaze out of the corner of their eyes.
"Baby Flame!" Zero spat out, setting the stingers ablaze, before both he and Taichi moved out of the way. Taichi's fingers flew on his D-Reader, and he selected the DNA for Gaomon, mentally thanking Subaru and her partner.
Zero spun, fast enough that he was practically a living hurricane. The air displacement around the Agumon as he launched himself at Fan Beemon might even be enough to throw any more Gear Stingers off course. He began to punch at Fan Beemon as he spun closer.
"Sorry about this," Taichi directed to Miria. "Zero wanted to have it out now before it becomes a problem later."
Miria gasped as she saw the metal blades of Fanbeemon's gear stinger heading for Taichi and his partner, and let out a sigh of relief when Zero dealt with them. "This is stupid. This is stupid," Miria muttered as she ran to Taichi's side; She was going to make sure that if Fanbeemon pulled that stunt again she was going to be there to intercept it.
Fanbeemon stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed that Zero was staring at him. Lowering his gaze, he just continued to watch the situation from a distance. Why didn't she use her shield? Why didn't she just shove the boy out of the way? Did she really want to get hurt this badly? Was just a few of a hundred things running through his mind

Skuld got the call about a robotic person needing repairs. In rather dire need for repairs. She grabbed her tool box and calling Renamon to run over to the training room she was supposed to be in. She saw a Fanbeemon pass by shortly before turning into the room.
Well, not much of a guess who it was. Purple blood certainly wasn't human. "Name's Skuld. Here to fix her," she said, hurrying over to Miria, Renamon following right behind. She kneeled beside Miria, pressing a button on her tool kit as she studied the damage, a bunch of tools popping out. More than really should have fit in there, but Skuld knew how to make a limited amount of hammer space if she had the right tools.
Miria tilted her head to look at the person who had just came in. "My name is Miria," she spoke to Skuld rather weakly. "I'm worried about my reactor..." Miria tried to motion to the stinger in her chest with the arm that was still somewhat intact.

[REALIZE: DIGIMON NATURAL ABILITY: DOUBLE BACKHAND]
"Double Backhand!"

Okay, so he may have made up that last part.

"Is there anything I can do?" asked Taichi. "...Pass you tools?"
