"So, chances of him having a bad feeling about this?"
"Doesn't matter. He'll know soon enough."
Matt nodded at Shagon's comment before hearing Patamon. He grinned before putting on his helmet and walking out. The Coldstone armor was about to get a test run.
"No luck," Matt answered, promptly grimacing. Xanatos just HAD to set the voice system to Shagon's/Regent form's, didn't he? "We're pulling out all the stops here. You need to learn how to use your power, and the only way you're going to learn is in a real battle scenario. Welcome to Training From Hell."
"Yes, and to do this, you two must learn teamwork. Come at me, both you at at once." intoned Vader. "Kotemon will assist this battle, creating it as a two on two."
"Your digimon they help," added Kotemon. "A fight most important to work as a team."
Naturally, Shagon let Matt take the Air Shot, playing pragmatically. It was hardly an attack that would damage the armor and injure Matt.
"Stop jumping the gun," Shagon warned while Matt grumbled incomprehensibly, his words not making it past the voice filter. "Teamwork, remember?"
Matt would have given him a cynical glance, but he could barely move his head, and the helmet blocked it anyway. He settled for a snort. "Yep. Teamwork."
"Teamwork meaning that you two," and Vader indicated Matt and Matthew, "Will be sparring against myself. Your mission is to disarm me of my Lightsaber."
"Shagon and Patamon, I take myself," added Kotemon, hobbling into the center. "Evolution permitted. Your task, to disarm me, of both of my weapons, hmm?"
"Yah, sorry!" chimed Patamon. "I sorta jump the gun all the time because well, I kinda like to fight. It reminds of one time when there was a big Gorillamon stomping around my town and I just went "GRRR you're not allowed here" and he said "OH yeah?" and ate me in one gulp! I then BASHED my way out by using a bone I found in his stomach. Cool huh?" giggled Patamon.
Matthew stared. "Dear lord my partner's a nutcase."
"Yeah," Matt agreed, and Shagon went back to his default method of dealing with people he didn't particularly...well, "like" was too strong a word anyway, so...tolerate. He ignored Patamon.
"Anyway," Matt interrupted, getting in a battle stance against Vader. "Any ideas?"
Vader in the meantime, allowed them to make the first move as he adjusted the level of his saber. Maiming, while a very notable problem in all lightsaber based training, was something he would prefer to avoid with the lack of actual bacta.
Kotemon on the other hand chuckled softly as he tossed his walking stick to the side, reached into his sleeves and ignited two lightsabers, the twin humming blue and red blades held in a dual wield stance. "To come at us aggressively you must, no hold back."
"It goes without saying. Fight like you intent to win." nodded Vader.
Matthew, decided that the best offense was a good defense and he realized a practice sword and shield. "I'll stand back, cast magic I guess," he said to Matt. "I think I could probably attempt to figure these powers out."
"Not exactly going to work in a real fight situation, but until you get the hang of your powers..." Matt made the closest equivalent to a shrug he could and extended the blades on his wrists. "I'm really going to need you to watch my back. I can't turn my head in this helmet."
Shagon looked to Patamon. "Attack both sides?" While it sounded like a question, it really was more of an order.
Matthew decided that since Kotemon started the fight, he would continue it.
Side-stepping, he wracked his mind silently for something, like an incantation from somewhere. Deciding, he started to trace patterns in the air like Elyon showed him to focus his energy.
"Great fire burning bright, come forth to sear my enemies!" he chanted.
Magic responded to his beckon in a blaze of shimmering red light as three balls of flame appeared over his head. "FIREBOLT!" he roared, launching them at the Dark Lord.
Patamon dove to the side, spun and "AIR SHOT!" with a yell, shooting to strike Kotemon upside the head.
The dash-booster on the back of the armor fired, and Matt sped toward Vader with his blades crossed, keeping behind the Firebolt. Meanwhile, Shagon aimed a Purple Fog at Kotemon's body. Despite battle cries, neither was inclined to broadcast their attacks.
"Doesn't matter. He'll know soon enough."

"Ooooh shiny," proclaimed Patamon.
Vader -- ignited his lightsaber.
"YOU HAVE GOT TO BE BULLSHITTING ME!" proclaimed Matthew in horror.

"Patamon, wait a moment--!" protested Matthew as the little digimon inhaled, growing twice her size.
"AIR SHOT PWAHHHH!" and she launched a bolt of compressed air at Matt.

With that, Kotemon charged forward with a loud cry as he flipped up into the air, bringing his blades down.
Vader on the other hand, brought up his saber in a defensive stance, feet shifting and digisoul bursting to life to wrap around his hands.
