yes thanks-- how's life in the paddock, down under? I was horrified to realize the other day, that I am unfamiliar with your seasons, and that it snows in some areas.

the Death card-- hmmm... interesting. . .up for some changes, perhaps? does it sound (resonate) or look as if it's heading that way? (cause that is usually a death card; the death (or ending) of something, the beginning, of something good and new. a positive transition. Does that sound good or emotionally comfortable for you? Did you have an idea what it might be hinting at? curious things, the cards hint at.

the cards do have really pretty artwork on them, don't they? I just wish buying them wouldn't support Crowley's estate -- that is a no-no for me, because he preached Satanism, which is basically (at the very least) selfish ideals and self indulgence (and now I know someone will have a hissy in my lj-- to unknown person "yeah, go talk to jimmy page" :)

ah! spring-- we are on the other side, going into fall with changing leaves and looking to the coming of winter (I love the seasons changing, they are my favorite times of the year)

interesting that-- I'd say it was all true (I'll have to look at this specific deck though if you'd like (I can do) but usually (always) the death card, means an "ending and beginning"-- a high transitional time. (and I'd say, you're hands are full! :)

I don't do tarot really (or other cards) but a few things I do know or have on hand-- I don't run my life by them,(or make choices) but occasionally I do see an uncanny occurrence, when something passes my way in life, and it was so unusual, that I'll take "something" out and "check on it" just for fun.

Sometimes, there is an uncanny coincidence in them, for the odd occurrence, that I noticed in life.
(which can be fun)

I like to think that life has a flow and symmetry to it.

and i see that you have your hands full -- (LOL) No- it's quite true, in a family-- what effects one, effects the whole. That ( ... )

sure-- hello-- fellow journey-er :)

I've seen your name many times, we have LOTS of the same friends, faeriegirl, bodpod(?) and others
(if you check my edit info page, you will recognize some I think)-- I also think we tend to trace names back through the LJ that we find intriguing (as I do yours).

finally I found a name in a meme at Cosmo's, that I didn't recognize-- or know from seeing before, even once--seraphsarah? and I followed it (by clicking) to her (and then you again)-- I believe basically, we owe it all to buffy and the love of BTVS :)

Sadly, I don't have time to talk to anyone on msn right now, but I enjoy your posts, and look forward to exchanging thoughts with you through entries and comments. That would be lovely! WELCOME :) --I truly understand. -- msn is a busy and odd thing -- sometimes I have time, and am at the computer (depending on what work and typing I am doing, (ex. manuals or updates) and could use the break. (other times, I simply can't) so I understand all too well ( ... )

Well T, you're just so darn entertaining, and that explains it all. Anywho, Diva here (I have no clue of her real name! I think she's my only f-list person whose name I don't know,) also somehow found my journal and befriended me some time back. I believe we owe it all to Faerie, even if in a roundabout way. (Diva, SeraphSarah is also someone many on Faerie's list know, but not through BTVS... many of us know each other as fans of Amber Tamblyn.)

that is so funny- I watched "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" today on turner classics (it having been a huge fun movie for me in my childhood -- and my mother knew it was "childsafe". I was also a fan of her father, Russ Tamblyn. (Gideon in that movie-- I was only about pre-school, when I first saw it on reruns -- I was all taken with her dad, Russ. Now I'm older and more "Wow-- Jeff Richards ( ... )

first, tell me how you liked your Card? are you feeling moon-ish? or relating to it in a wiccan Mother moon way? cause I got a psychic and intuitive "feel" or vibe, from you and faerie (which is just me) its a kind of way I feel people sometimes,
empathically through the lines--

I usually don't discuss it, it would just separate me more, regarding the people, I cared about, and add to the already not good online things being done.

but remember this-- Moonlight? is no longer an illusion-- but a scientific fact, that it is the reflection of the sun. and dreams? are now called "creative imagery"-- as we must know what we want, before we can achieve it, we must set our goals, before we can reach them.

Your psychic qualities, and intuitiveness? are the things that make you sensitive, loving, and deeply caring ..(and while that really hurts sometimes).. It is also part of your best qualities, enabling you to be who you are. And that is a good thing. :)

I'm not sure how I feel about what the card has to say, but I've always felt an affinity to the moon - perhaps because of my real life name. :) My paternal grandmother had a "moon related" name, too. It was Selena.

I honestly didn't know Selena, was moon related (and am really glad you told me) It's the name of the grandmother, whose butterfly pin I now own and cherish, isn't it? *smile*

when I was ten, I had a little girl I was friends with in Ga. named Selena. (She had long hair too, and hers was longer than mine, but she was so nice I didn't mind *child logic*) I have always been partial to that name, in anyone since, (she was a really sweet). I bet your grandmother was too.
(You turned out that way) and I'm definitely grateful.

You are one of those rare people, whose use their life's journey, to make them more beautiful and loveable. and even kinder to others. Other people become bitter, as in your life, you became more sweet. You have been so gutsy, sometimes. And really kind to me, and everyone. we are glad that you are around. {{hugs}} you

nice to meet you deretla -- WELCOME too-- we have cyberspace cookies (your favorites)

and BTVS rules! :) (oh, maybe we should do a book! -- we could go by seasons, or episodes-- no, after I'm better at it) :)
I really appreciated you giving me more info on the cover, it was really interesting as well as pretty-- what gel did you use?

Reply

deretla_skoob October 17 2005, 10:04:21 UTC
Thanks. The gel used was Liquitex Gloss Heavy Gel Medium, but next time I'm buying Matte instead of Gloss because I like the old-looking textures. That was the first I had bought since my acryolic painting days a couple of years ago. Also "everyone" around LJ seems to favor Golden brand instead of Liquitex. Dern Hobby Lobby was closed yesterday when I went by.

I miss the Buffy show. I am a total geek who knows all the lines from every episode.

Well-- that is really nifty (the card) -- very pretty and explains it well, this card deck seems oddly direct to me (although I found two books on the "hidden" symbolism, it seems to be more direct than most cards (nicely so ( ... )
