I did something similar to this with special projects once. It's funny how life is like a ping pong ball. One slight little course correction sends Chloe's life bouncing away in a new direction. One no less exciting than the one we choose to write, but very very different.
I remember that extra tidbit you posted! I squeed over the Oliver/Chloe bit, if I remember correctly. xD
I kind of wanted to do this look at the series since these were all possible ways that the Librarian series could have gone. All were seriously considered at one point or another, just never followed through on. I'm sure you've noticed how I flip-flop plotlines all the time!
I do remember that the librarian series didn't have winchesters until the third installment.
Heh. Special projects was always going to be chloe, Sam and Dean hunting. It wasn't supposed to have an overstory that connected it. It was supposed to be more like the chance winchesterverse. More snippits out of order.
That's very true. I was initially going to keep them out of it for the most part - keeping the focus on mainly Bobby, Chloe, and Lynch as they got her acclimated to the supernatural world, with Sam and Dean being mentioned only in passing until later in the series. But obviously, that idea changed. I think I got impatient.
It's amazing how things change from how you planned them. You can never really expect it - things just mutate somehow and suddenly, you've got a behemoth of a series on your hands. :D
4. Would have meant the end of the Librarian series at that point. Chloe would no longer be working at the Library. She would go back to being a reporter and starting a new adventure tracking down Batman. You know our girl, once she gets hooked on something, she won't let go. ;D
5. Chloe may have started working at the Library again, but not for long. She probably would have left for Star City when she realized she was not going to get her memory back. She would pack up and go to join the Justice League full time, with a dog named Zeppelin without ever knowing why she named her dog Zeppelin and why he always barked at Oliver. xD And it would probably be an end to the series.
There are undertones of the triangle already in the Librarian Series. Number 4 really shows this...In number 4 of these alternatives, Chloe falls for Oliver, but in the series she doesn't.
Oliver has feelings for her, they just are not acted upon/reciprocated.

Then suddenly it was more.
