My first time...
... directing a portion of a show that is. And OMGZ was I nervous. It was actually difficult to sit through the show last night.... not because it was terribly (it wasn't) or because it felt long (it is) but because I had a hand in it and I just felt genuinely nervous for myself and everyone else involved. I felt nauseous a large portion of the night because of nerves... which if you know ANYTHING about me at all never happens... well, it used to happen on a smaller scale in high school but you get the idea. Even though I was really only in charge of the singing... I just felt really exposed and as if everyone was judging me not only as a singer (which I can handle) but as a director (which felt REALLY funky). This morning I feel better but I didn't sleep well at all. And we open the show to a large Christmas party tonight. Here's to hoping it goes well.
