I didn't get as far as I usually do in the jQuery book today, but I'll have another opportunity to wrangle with the code sample that's giving me trouble tomorrow. I sent out a query to an artist on Friday and I hope to hear from him soon. I sent out the art for next month's cover and header on time, despite my computer issues. Luckily, the pc decided to cooperate with me, because my mac laptop's cpu fan seems to be having serious issues. It's even louder than the first gen xbox 360. Computer repair bill? Noooooo! I remembered I have an iomega external drive, so I'll see what I can back up to it before I make a genius bar appointment
Lynda.com has a free tutorial on
drawing vector graphics available until 9/13. I went through a bunch of the videos earlier this morning, and I'll watch the rest tomorrow morning. I'll go back and review the lessons about the creative process and working with your own line art with the sample files when I get back from the library in the evening.
So far, I've donated 51 books. I need to do more. OMG too many books! One day, I should be able to replace them with ebooks. I think I have most of my books catalogued in
Delicious Monster, but it's on the mac, which I am reluctant to turn on if it's not to grab files to backup.
I thought I was going watch Jiro Dreams of Sushi, but then I realized it'll only make me crave sushi, and I was having chicken and broccoli for dinner. Too disappointing! I ended up watching Spirited Away.
