Kiti felt like she was going to explode. Amanda was fine, but Kiti's brain wouldn't shut up. There was no way clumsy, shy Amanda had done anything to "break the rules", she was probably the most circumspect person she had ever met. It was possible that it had something to do with her following Saweda around all the time, but since he barely seemed to notice, much less care, she doubted it. The only reasonable explanation she could come up with was that it was realatively random, and they had picked Amanda largly because she couldn't (or wouldn't?) fight back. That was the only thing that made sense, and it suggested that Kazua was even less sure of himself than she thought.
As she had told Kano earlier, her Ojiisan was a philosophy professor, and Kiti had spent a lot of time visiting with them as a kid. Philosophy also tends to give one an interesting view of histor, and she had always been interested in the why of peoples actions. Now she was trying to figure out why Kazuya was allowed to run the school, and why he had suddenly decided to tighten his control. Apparently he felt that he was losing it, interesting. His obsession with Kenshin though understandable was a problem. Kiti liked Kenshin, he had a bit of a hero complex, but he was a nice guy and didn't deserve the crap he was getting. Kiti felt a bit guilty for yelling at him yesterday, and wanted to apologize, but the truth was, she was afraid of these creeps. Just thinking that pissed her off, she did not want to let them dictate her life, but she didn't want to get attacked either.
She decided to play along for a while, but figured that if they were going to get serious with her they already would. She hadn't been handed her "papers" yet (another sign that he was losing control, he's trying to regulate too much) and hadn't decided yet how to handle it. Her initial reflex was to just toss it, but maybe if she played along she could slip under thier radar and try something later, it was worth a thought.
As it was though she owed Kenshin an apology. Deciding on her course of action, she veered off into the restroom and found an empty stall. Pulling out her notebook she wrote out a quick letter.
"Kenshin, I'm sorry I yelled at you yesterday, it's not your fault Kazua's a creep. And it's definatly not your fault they attacked your friend, it's thiers. I would like to get to know you a little better, as a friend, but I don't think now is a good time to chat. It's obvious they don't like you, and I'm not real sure what they think of me yet. E-mail me at 555f*xyl*dy@martiantech.fake if you forgive me, and would like to be friends." she didn't sign it, but really, how many people had yelled at him yesterday? As long as she was here though...
Feeling much more relieved (in more ways than one!) she washed her hands, and left, heading to where she knew Kenshins cubby was. Looking around to make sure nobody was noticing, she casually pulled out her note, and slipped it under Kenshins shoes. That done, she hurried off to her next class, hoping she made it before the bell rang!
