I think it's about time I update this thing... :)
Let's see. In January I began a class at Bucknell to start my grad work. I'm having a great time - I really enjoy learning about the various aspects of instructional leadership, data analysis, etc. It's fun to be a student again...
speaking of students, my kiddos are making progress - but two or three are just driving me crazy. Between retraining, attitudes, and LOSING the journal for our pen pal project, these kiddos can be a bit frustrating. I will admit, a snow day tomorrow wouldn't be the worst thing in the world!
Meanwhile, my niece was baptized this weekend, so my mom, my sister-in-law's mom and my sister-in-law's dad, and I were all in Richmond. It was gorgeous there - 50s and sunny - I didn't want to come back to snowy PA. :-P And Clarissa is precious! Check out my pics on facebook. :)
I'm going nuts trying to teach/learn all the music for the 6th grade production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," which goes up in 5 weeks. The kids definitely aren't ready yet, but I'm hoping they'll shape up in the next few weeks!! I'm taking crap at school for "giving up" my after school ($24/hr) program that I teach until after the musical's over... my co-workers can't believe I'm choosing to volunteer to do music for the musical instead of getting paid to teach the Title I class for a month. Intrinsic motiveaion, anyone? Get over it, seriously. :-P
Perhaps the most exciting news is that Michael is coming for Easter!! He booked his ticket the other day, and he's coming 4 weeks from today!!! It will have been 3 months since I've seen him, so I'm clearly thrilled. :) We're planning to go to Mom's for the holiday, so we'll see how that meeting goes!
