Technology and me
Today I have been most upset by the news that Game might be going into administration if they don't come up with cash by March 25th. As owners of GameStation this means that they too will disappear. Life priorities clearly shown here by Karo(!)
Whilst looking for the news on the matter I found that the new Microsoft Xbox will reportedly not have a disc drive at all and everything will have to be downloaded. I really don't like this idea - I actually like having inanimate objects messing up my flat and being able to share and gift.
Many people see technology as a solution to some problems that exist. I don't dispute technology can be used for good, but with new developments come new challenges/issues. And then there is the digital divide, where people are just not keeping up with all the new products or they are, but they just cannot afford to be part of it if they wanted to.
