This weekend Daniel and I went to Ojai to visit my parents so we could all discuss my upcoming surgery (yet another one) and finances (I'm going to be out of work for a while because of it). Thank you so so much! I'm flattered!

I am having a Labyrinthectomy and a Vestibular Nerve Section. Basically they're removing my inner ear, and then cutting my balance nerve where it connects to my brain. I have Meniere's Disease which causes vertigo and imbalance, so I can't walk on my own (hence the walker you see in the background in one of those pictures). This surgery will get rid of all my bad balance signals so my other balance center (which works fine) can compensate.

My stepdad has Meniere's disease. He's on meds for it, and is okay, but when he has a bad spell it is pretty scary. I hope your surgery goes well!!

Ha ha ha, actually, about two seconds after I took that picture I had to stop reading (I didn't even finish the page) because I get wicked carsick. I thought I could make it!
