As much as I complained about the summer being slow, it really wasn't that bad. Move in came more quickly than I thought it would.
Yesterday Mom and I got to campus right around ten. A lady in a golf cart with a truck bed came to the car and Mom put all my stuff on it while I went to go get my key. Then I got a cart and proceeded to take three loads of my stuff up to my room, while running into Claire (and MJ and Justin who were helping her) in the process. Then while my mom had to move the car to basically the edge of the Earth (okay so it was like a fifteen minute walk), I pushed all my belongings into my bedroom and moved around my furniture. The bed was originally right under the window and I didn't feel like getting hit with sun and lights from the street every day. I'm very pleased with the result, though my legs and feet got really banged up in the process with a wicked rug burn.
Main campus feels a lot different than Altoona. I know they told me this over and over again. And I never thought I'd say this, but I almost miss Altoona. I liked the fact that when I got down to Port Sky there was a chance that any one of my friends would be down there too. Here there's basically no chance of that happening because we have like 100 places to eat on campus. I am happy though, finally being a part of "the real PSU" and not just the branch campus.
Yesterday was also an important day because it was my 20th birthday. I can't help but feel a little old, even though every time I say that Andrew gives me a lecture about how he's the one that's really old. But still, two decades on this planet, that's a while. To celebrate almost all my friends met me at the Creamery and we had some yummy ice cream. Then around 9ish people had to do stuff so I wandered around campus with Dan and Jon and Jordan and Justin. It was a pretty fun time.
I'll post some pictures of my new room once I get everything organized the way I want it.
P.S. I have no idea how I'm up so early. This never happens.
