It's love, it's not Santa Claus!
This is a story of boy meets girl. The boy, Tom Hansen, grew up believing that he’d never truly be happy until the day he met the one. The girl, Summer Finn, did not share this belief. You should know up front this is not a love story.
I loved this movie. It made me feel better. For so long I've been picturing my future one way and if I think of it happening any other way it makes me feel sick to my stomach. I thought it would ruin my faith in love stories and happily-ever-afters. But after seeing this movie I know that if things don't end up the way I want them to, it doesn't mean I'm wrong about love. I will eventually get my happily-ever-after.
As much as I love movies were it all works out in the end, like Harry Met Sally, it was nice to see something real for a change. Love isn't always the way it is in movies, but I keep coming back to that one line: "Robin is better than my dream girl. She's real." Real love is better than any movie or idealized image we have.
