Apparently, people want to read my fic-- a friend of mine (
joisbishmyoga ) posted about the Star Trek species we created for it and some vague bits about the story for her semi-daily happy, and people WANT it.
This bewilders and intimidates me, mainly because I've never really posted fic and am a tad bit uncertain about my ability to write what will most definitely be a multi-chapter (hell, probably in excess of ten or twenty chapter) fic. For one thing, there's my attention span-- although, that's lasted for months now so there's not really a danger of it becoming a problem-- and ability to plot, which I'd self-describe as 'meager'.
But I guess if people want it, I'll give it a try? Or at least try to write something of it for NaNo, if schooling doesn't interfere. I need goat milk and yoghurt
Also, something I probably should have posted to this journal a long time ago.
On August 6th, I found a poor wee kitty. Our vet thinks she was about 4-5 weeks old at the time. Or more accurately, a group of homeless people had found her and were trying to get her a home and I was the person who volunteered. They'd been watching her for about eleven hours and were trying to feed her pepperoni off of a pizza slice because they just didn't have anything else to offer.
She barely weighed a pound, and fit in my hand. I didn't know if my parents would let me keep her, but figured that they couldn't begrudge one night for a poor wee kitty until I could take her to a no-kill shelter. Fortunately, they fell in love too.
Now, she's a lot bigger than that and VERY busy. So busy. And you can't leave anything made of food around her because it will vanish down her tiny maw. Her name is Hiccup.
So yeah. Kitten!
