Had a really great couple of nights out this weekend: went to Mobius for cocktails with work colleagues and managed to work "felching" (feltching?) into the conversation, which caused much amusement as I apparently shouldn't know what it is. To be fair, I couldn't bring myself to describe it out loud, was DEFINITELY not going to mime it, and ended up texting AQA, amidst much hysteria, before attempting to read out their reply in my best 1950s educational film voice. I loved the fact that they added "A straw is sometimes used" as a helpful tip!
Saturday involved going to The Globe with Kev, Jenny, Kerry and of course Pete, whereupon he amazed and delighted me by coming to Redeemer with us. Admittedly, he then sank so much £1.50 Magners that he had to go into a rough-as-a-badgers-arse Irish pub on the way home (post-kebab) because he needed to pee like a racehorse, but in his defence he had come clubbing and even danced! There was a shockingly high ratio of people-I-knew to people-I-didn't, including (and here I just CANNOT be arsed with usernames, folks, sorry...) Leanne and Mikey, Spook, Nikki, Mark, Gabriel, Leki and the obligatory "Hey, don't I know you from...?" randoms. It was ace, although I was so busy dancing I very nearly made it through the night without having chance to speak to anyone. Hilariously, I know of at least four people who didn't recognise me until I said hi, and several people commented that I look different every time I go out. Weeelll... who wants to be predictable, eh?
On a more serious note, I am relieved that Redeemer was good - I was prepared to feel stupid for not makign the most of Ret whilst it was still there. But Autonomy is staying put, so I shall make the effort again in future :)
