Houdini the Dog & Co.
Pete and I babysit his sister's dog 3-4 times per week, a pure black German Shepherd called Raven. She should really be called Houdini, as she has now escaped from our LOCKED house twice, once to the pub (?!) and once into the arms of an off-duty policeman, who calmly restrained her from fighting with his husky/malamute cross. She's the devil, but OMG is she pretty. And her fur gets EVERYWHERE. Seriously!
I am rehearsing a musical at the moment - My Fair Lady - which will be on 14th-19th April at the Little Theatre in Dover Street. Tickets £9-11 from my nice friend Jan on 0116 285146, as we expect to sell out. I am declaring a free house for that week, accommodation-wise, up to the Saturday when parents arrive, so any friends wishing to come see it from afar may stay here :) Please come see it!

My aunt Lorna has effectively dumped my mother, which is an odd thing to do at 52. Or any age, really. It's pretty upsetting - I'm close to my aunt but my Mum's obviously angry/confused etc.
My sister is considering moving back to Canada to be a ski instructor.
I appear to have developed SAD especially for this year, as a treat. Hence rather flat tone of email, and general lack of comms here for ages. I have been reading sporadically, but really need some weak winter sunshine to bring me back up to speed!
