[Lurking in doorways was never polite, but Belphegor wasn't quite sure how to make his entrance. Hell, he didn't even know if Mello was conscious yet or not, but he was there, and now he was sort of wondering why the hell he ever though this was a good idea

Garak, [Mello murmurs,] Are you seriously back already? I'm not a baby. Come on.

[His eyes are closed. If he were in better shape, he'd be able to tell that it's not Garak.]

[Belphegor pauses a moment, before taking a deep breath. His heart shouldn't be pounding like this.]

[Mello goes tense. First, he's embarrassed that he made such a mistake in front of Belphegor. Second, he's angry.]

Fuck's- what. No. You missed your chance, I'll be really pissed if you kill me now.

[He doesn't move into the room, observing the IV drip and machines Mello is hooked up to.]
