One of my New Years Resolutions is to update more. And since my other two are fairly serious - no more gossip and doing what I want to do - I think I'll be able to keep this one.
I hope you all enjoyed your holidays/breaks.
Every day I think of something to update about and every time I come here, it all evaporates.
What's on my mind now:
- Sometimes I wonder why I watch Gossip Girl. Sometimes I just don't think it's a very good show, but then little things - music cues, and especially the chemistry between the actors/characters - remind me why that hour is not a waste of time. This week's episode especially (I'm typing between watching) because it started off really weak for me, but it's really picked up. And if this is the last episode of the season because of the strike then I'm really looking forward to what they do when they can write again. I would write more but I don't feel like doing a cut.
- I saw Atonement on Friday. James McAvoy seems to be making it his goal in life to be the love of my life. The man is freaking amazing. Keira was better than I thought she'd be, but their chemistry wasn't. He had better chemistry with the girl playing her thirteen year old sister (I know her name, but I won't offend her by trying to spell it from memory).
- Three things I love about Gossip Girl:
- Rufus. I remember this conversation viennawaits and I had about Matthew Settle once, how he looked like the love child of two actors we liked (and I can't remember) but that we didn't like him. I have to take that back now. I love me some Rufus.
- Chuck. He tried to rape a fourteen year old girl in the pilot and I still want to love him. I think a lot of that has to do with Blair (God, I miss Chuck/Blair) but I really do like him. He is so subconsciously in love with Nate, and I think that is awesome.
- The chemistry. With the exception of Rufus and Lily, everyone on that show has great chemistry. I love that. It's so rare to find on a show, where every character can interact with another and it keeps you interested. Except Rufus and Lily.
