This wasn't the smartest of ideas. He knew that, but he'd condoned worse before. Besides, the girl wanted to learn, and he couldn't fault her for that. Still, there was no way of knowing how hostile the dragon would be once they located it, especially considering the circumstances.
Nevertheless, the General was determined to discover the reason for such a death - there had been no reported battles as of late, and thus far they'd heard nothing of any sort of pestilence. Besides, if it was indeed one of Chaos' fighters, so much the better. Sephiroth snorted softly; no, that wasn't quite true. As he'd told the goddess herself, any death was unnecessary, not to mention worthless, considering none of them had volunteered for this.
But still he waited, leaning against the Tower's stone wall, the very picture of dangerous nonchalance. He'd give her five more minutes, then she was on her own.
