Did someone order a bard? (voice)

Injured? Oh, no! Just a few scrapes and bruises, but I am well. Thankfully those brutes didn't follow me here.

Gained your muse back already? Cool! XD mountain_sage September 21 2010, 19:17:35 UTC
Those brutes?

I've not seen you before. Are you a new arrival?

Yes, those blood thirsty men who chased me here!

[He's speaking of the 'Mannequins'. The poor bard was chased here by those terrible creatures.]

I don't know why they attacked me, but they did. Fortunately for me, I'm quite nimble.

Ah, yes! I'm a newcomer, my name is Edward Chris von Muir. Who might you be?

A shame you had to drop from Luceti so soon. T_T mountain_sage September 21 2010, 19:30:04 UTC
[Unfortunately, he won't catch the clue of the mannequins; he might think you mean bloodthirsty men from the poor bard's world.]

I'm glad you're well, then. If you'd like, I can take care of those scrapes and bruises.

I am called Saleh.

It is good to meet such a helpful individual, but are you a healer of some kind, Saleh?

If so, I certainly wouldn't mind your aid.

It is good to meet you as well. Were you summoned by Cosmos?

Yes, I am a healer. Where can I find you?

Hell yeah! XD melodiesoflute September 21 2010, 20:15:02 UTC
I-I guess so! I remember hearing a woman's voice call out to me, and this realm here is filled with such divinity and peace. So, I assume I was summoned by her.

I...I am not sure where this is, but it feels like a sanctuary away from the chaos that brews. There's water here, and the sky is slightly cloudy.

Sweet! Let's see how well their friendship can blossom here in the meantime. mountain_sage September 21 2010, 20:35:17 UTC
Ah, that would certainly be Cosmos.

I believe I recognize that location. I'll be there shortly.

[A few moments later, Edward might see the sage in green robes approaching from the crystal portal.]

[Unsure what to think about this perplexing predicament, Edward waits patiently within the Order's Sanctuary for the helpful healer. He looked a tad skittish as he clung to his lyre, then again why wouldn't he? The poor bard was yanked out from his reality and thrust within some godforsaken war. Had Edward been a swordsman, then maybe he would have understood the need for his presence here, but he's a bard!]

This is absurd.

[Idly plucking a few notes of his harp, the bard stopped once he saw someone approach.]

Ah? Saleh? Is that you?

mountain_sage September 21 2010, 20:57:12 UTC
Yes, it is I.

[Saleh approaches with the barest hint of a smile so as not to intimidate the poor bard any more than he already was. He holds his healing staff in his hand and stops a few feet away.]

All right, I'm going to heal you. Are you ready?

[Eying the staff curiously, Edward glanced away from it and over to the monk again. He was a tad apprehensive about trusting this man, but so far Saleh truly does seem to be a healer of some kind.]

Yes! I merely hope this won't sting or anything.

[Edward laughs a tad nervously.]

No, it is a soothing magic.

[And so Saleh raises his staff, the orb emitting its soft blue glow. The soothing magic will pour towards the bard...]

[His first instinct was to flee once that blue glow flowed his way, however once he felt the soothing effects; Edward's fears were quelled. All of his cuts and bruises were healed instantly, all thanks to this charitable monk.]

You have my thanks, Saleh!

[There's no longer a scratch on him. Yay!]

You must be the resident healer during this crisis.

You are welcome, Edward.

[Saleh withdrew his staff.]

I am only one of the healers here. There are several others. I can also cast offensive magic in battle.

So, you battle in this war as well?

[The bard frowned a little at this.]

How dangerous...
