Aww, man. So much for a peaceful answer. But, I guess this is another way of ending the war without killing anyone.

Indeed it is. If one side gains a decisive victory over the other, the war will end and we will all be able to return home with our lives, without any need for further violence. All that is necessary is that Cosmos is made to submit. I am pleased that you understand.

It doesn't exactly feel right, but it might be the best choice we have. I mean, we do want Chaos to win, right? It's not like he's all about war and destruction like Cosmos says, is he?

The words of one's enemy regarding their adversary are rarely trustworthy, I'm afraid. Cosmos has a vested interest in convincing her followers to despise Chaos and us to distrust him, so that they will fight harder against him and we will be more hesitant. Unfortunately, that is the way of all wars. It is up to us to see through to the truth.

Yeah, it is a lot like the last war I was in. If Cosmos lied to her own allies, that explains everything they told me.

Indeed it would.

Tell me, what precisely did they tell you?

Well, some people said they believed there was a peaceful solution, but no one seemed to know how to end the fighting. One person said that Chaos would just continue the war forever, and that the only way to get back home was to betray him. And one guy said the conflict between Chaos and Cosmos was part of their nature, so there is no way to end it without one side defeating the other. He kinda reminded me of Genius, so I'm starting to think he might be right.

Interesting words. The second version sounds much closer to the truth. These gods did after all resort to bringing us here in order to continue their fight. They must be truly intractable foes.

Yeah, it's the same back home. When the dragons wanted to fight each other, it turned into a huge war.
